Just yesterday, on June 15th, 2017, an earthquake of 4.5 magnitudes was felt near Yellowstone National Park, a world-famous national park that is home to mountains, animals, and the world’s largest collection of geysers.

At 6: 48 p.m, a light earthquake was felt, measuring 4.5 magnitudes, Thursday. This was recorded by University of Utah Seismograph Stations. The epicenter of the earthquake came from Yellowstone National Park. The nearest town is West Yellowstone, Montana, which is eight miles north-northeast of the epicenter of the earthquake. Fortunately, there was no structural damage or casualties.

This earthquake is part of a series of energetic sequences in the same area that began on June 12th. This sequence has a stunningly large number of sequential of earthquakes. 30 earthquakes have occurred since the beginning. The earthquakes are magnitudes of 2 and higher, with 4 occurrences of earthquakes of magnitude 3 and higher, including this 4.5 magnitude earthquake.

This earthquake is the strongest to occur on March 30th, 2014, where a 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred. The epicenter of that earthquake was Norris Geyser Basin, 18 miles to the east. It is important for visitors to answer this survey in order to help geologists determine safety procedures and evacuation notices should there be immediate danger to visitors to the park, as this series of energetic sequences are getting more frequent and are increasing in severity, which is puzzling and may cause severe casualties as multiple geysers are popular hot spots for tourists.

This is in relation to a recent accident that happened just a few hours ago, where a man fell into Yellowstone Hot Springs, suffering from severe burns. If higher magnitude earthquakes occur, which is highly probable, might cause more accidents like this in the future in the face of panic and chaos when people scramble to safety.

After all, with all the bizarre weather phenomena and freaky weather, we can no longer be sure just how strong the next earthquake wave might be. Nothing is for certain in this age, where our environments are rapidly changing and the weather is completely unpredictable, with multiple sightings of hailstorms with a weird glow at the epicenter, and “cloud cities” in the sky. One can only wonder what is truly happening with our planet, and just how badly humanity has destroyed it.
