Hacking that apparently has been traced back to Russia has revealed what could be incriminating emails of countries leading candidate for President. Now, before anyone says the American election is over and Hilary Clinton loss so why bring this up?

Well, believe it or not, the above sentence isn’t about the United States Presidential Election that took place last November but about the election for President that is taking place this weekend in France. Yes, apparently the world is now experiencing an extreme case of deejay a major election taking place, a Russian hacking and now emails from a candidate that was leading big time in all the polls could suffer from the result.

For those of us who aren’t aware Emmanuel Macron has been in a race for the leader of France running against Marine Le Pen. Up till now, Macron seems to be the clear winner, he seems to be quite popular with the people and seem to have support from other countries. But now comes incriminating emails, and one has to wonder could the result be similar to what happened in the United States. After all, Hilary Clinton seem to be the clear winner in polls, and it seemed as if she couldn’t lose, but than came November 8th and many including those in the news media were floored to find out that Donald Trump won instead thanks to the Electoral College process.

So, what is in these alleged Macron emails? Well, these point to the candidate being involved in an offshore type of deal that maybe not be legit and even militant actions. However, Macron has denied these allegations and has pointed to the fact that his opponent could be involved in what happened here. In any case, apparently the emails are being investigated to ensure their legitimacy, and so far believe that these emails are the real thing.

But perhaps the main concern is that this is the second time this has happened. Now France isn’t too quick to blame Russia, but we have to admit that the situations are similar, and leave us with wondering if someone is trying to play around with our democracy. It’s our right to take part in elections, but such stuff could change someone’s mind about who to vote for or even defer them from voting period.

The only saving grace for those living in France is that there is a rule there that for 44 hours before any major elections no one in that country has access to any reports regarding the election, even news outlets are told to defer from taking about it. Yes, Macron could very well be involved here, but the way the truth came out is less than stellar, and disturbing so the fact that it came out a little late to do anything to change the outlook of this election could be the saving grace for the people of France that is. Too bad other countries like the United States don’t adopt such a practice as well.
