New Years Eve Comet Will Be The Most Magical Thing You’ll See This Year.

New Year’s Eve is synonymous with celebration and fanfare. Several celebrations occur simultaneous worldwide irrespective of different time zones. Before you go out for any celebrations, take a gaze into the sky after sunset you will be surprised by what you see. You will see a comet in the sky!

According to NASA, the 45P/Honda -Mrkos-Pajdusakova is expected to be visible in the sky after traveling towards the earth in the last few weeks. It has been glowing brighter and brighter as it orbits nearer and nearer to the earth. It’s been somewhat visible since 15th December. The Comet is a space ball with a blue-green head and a thin fan-shaped tail.

This is not the first time Comet 45P orbit is bringing it close to the earth. As a matter of fact it is a periodic comet, hence part of our space. It returns every five years. The last time Comet 45P was visible in the sky was in 2011.

Comet 45P will move close to the moon on Saturday 31st December 2016. The comet will not be visible to the naked eyes for everyone. You may need a telescope or binoculars to catch it except for those who live in a dark enough location and possess good vision.

The visibility of Comet 45P is estimated to be of the 6th apparent magnitude. This means that it is not very visible as a brightness of this scale isn’t very bright for a celestial object. Furthermore, the weather conditions have a great impact on the visibility so it may be wise to double check the weather forecast in your area. People in countries of North America are expected to see the comet easily.
