March 13th, 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of one of the most well documented and widely accepted UFO sightings on record, the Phoenix lights case.
On that date twenty years ago thousands of people reported seeing strange lights hovering in the sky over Phoenix, with some claiming that they formed the outline of a craft of some kind.
The twenty year Anniversary of the Phoenix Lights UFO sightings
The military at the time claimed that the lights were nothing more than flares although this doesn’t tend to fit in with what most people claim they saw. It certainly doesn’t account for the numerous people who claimed to have seen the outline of a triangular craft as well as unusual lights in the sky. No satisfactory explanation has ever been received from either state or federal government, the military or any of the various intelligence gathering government agencies.
The number of witnesses and the detail of the accounts, not to mention the fact that the witnesses came from such a distinct variety of backgrounds suggests that they certainly saw something in the sky that night. The only question is what exactly they saw.
The two possibilities seem to be that what the witnesses saw was a UFO from another planet containing life forms as yet unseen, or that they witnessed an experimental aircraft constructed by the military. In either case, the government and military would have reason to cover up what really happened and what was really seen.
Experimental aircraft being developed by the government are often mistaken for alien craft due to their often unconventional appearance or means of movement. As far back as the 1940s, the Nazis had a fully working flying saucer that never saw the light of day in battle. Nearly 70 years later and science has progressed to the extent that the cutting edge technology that the public doesn’t get to see could well be mistaken for something alien in design. This of course coupled with the fact that test flights tend to be made in remote locations as far as possible and of course aren’t documented or acknowledged in any way by the military if they are witnessed.
The idea that the Phoenix lights case could have been an experimental aircraft is put into doubt somewhat by the fact that the sighting was over a major city and witnessed by so many people, which of course the military tend to try to avoid. Plausibly an experimental aircraft could have malfunctioned somehow and flown off course although this has yet to be confirmed or denied by the government.
There is a theory that some of the designs of the experimental aircraft are influenced by aliens that the government has encountered and kept hidden from the public for decades. Secretly either working with or replicating the technology of these beings while publicly denying all knowledge that they exist.
