I am visiting family in Billings right now, and over on the north west end of the ridges, near a small plateau that is just past a nice neighborhood, iron something, I just saw the most inexplicable thing I have ever seen. I have always believed in aliens, but have never encountered anything, so this has me freaked out.
I go outside to bring my dog into the house, and from the beck deck I notice in the distance a crescent moon that is very low on the horizon and bright orange. I thought it looked odd that the moon was that orange, so I put my dog in and got my glasses and went back out to have a better look. When I went out I noticed that the moon was actually on the other side of the house. I couldn't actually see it, but it was lighting up the sky in yellow like the moon might. That's when I got freaked out, but so intrigued that I couldn't stop staring at the orange crescent.
Only after maybe two minutes of me watching it slowly started to fade below what would be the horizon and shrink from top to bottom until it was totally gone. I thought it might be a fire, but it was close enough I would have heard sirens probably at some point, and I don't think a fire would go from massive enough to trick me into thinking it was the moon to small enough that it disappeared in moments.
This only happened about 15 minutes ago, and again I am in Billings, Montana. I really hope someone else saw that because it was absolutely the most incredible and inexplicable thing I have ever seen. I wanted to drive over to where it was, but my wife stopped me. I am glad she did, because now all I can think about is Fire in the Sky.
Is anyone else in Billings, and did you see it too?
