The secret organisation setting the US’s economic agenda.
Most Americans are unaware of the Trilateral Commission, a supposedly informal grouping of powerful men who operate at the highest levels of the United States government. Even those who are aware of the unusual group do not often know the lengths these men have gone to jealously protect their own financial interests and the enormous amount of influence they have over political life in the United States.
The origins of the Trilateral Commission lie in the administration of President Richard Nixon. Nixon had a protectionist economic agenda and elected to lay tariffs on certain goods that were being imported into the United States in order to ensure the survival of key American companies. Certain figures, including David Rockefeller, were horrified by this development which they saw as running counter to their preferred policies of a globalised free trade system. Therefore, they decided to set up the Trilateral Commission to ensure that a president would never go off script again.
President Nixon was forced to resign after the Watergate scandal and was replaced with the globalist minded, Gerald Ford. Even though the Trilateral Commission now had a president they felt comfortable with, the Nixon episode had made them wary. They were well aware that if American democracy were allowed to run its own course that the Nixon problem could present itself again. In order to ensure that did not happen, they decided to pluck a candidate from obscurity and place themselves fully behind him in order to have a puppet in the White House. Their chosen candidate was Jimmy Carter.
During the Carter years, members of the Trilateral Commission were painfully arrogant about their coup. In a tone that verge on boastful, two members of the Trilateral Commission – Karl Kaiser and Richard Cooper – told a journalist named Jeremiah Novak about how they had placed Carter in the White House and why. They also explained that the Trilateral Commission was coordinating economic policy to chime with their agenda in the United States, the United Kingdom, West Germany, Japan, France and other EEC countries.
Since Carter’s term in office, other presidents have also been known to have been deeply influenced by the Trilateral Commission. President Barrack Obama was tutored by a key member of the Commission, Zbigniew Brzezinski. It is believed that Brzezinski’s influence led to the decision making behind Obama’s negotiation of the Transatlantic Pacific Partnership.
President Trump quashed this particular trade deal and has been known to be very vocal against the globalist economic and political platform. However, this does not mean that he can be trusted to act in the best interests of the American people if the Trilateral Commission direct him elsewhere. According to a White House press release, a member of the Trilateral Commission named Kenneth I. Juster has been appointed as Deputy Assistant to the President for International Economic Affairs and will sit on the National Security Council. Given this appointment, it is likely that Trump’s anti-globalist agenda will be short lived.
While many are dismissive of claims of highly influential individuals operating in the shadows at the highest levels of government, the Trilateral Commission is certainly a real organisation that has been unusually candid about its nefarious goals. In his biography ‘Memoirs’, David Rockefeller proudly declared that all of the rumours about him were true. He wrote; “Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure—one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”
Here is the interview between Novak, Kaiser and Cooper:
NOVAK (the reporter): Is it true that a private [Trilateral committee] led by Henry Owen of the US and made up of [Trilateral] representatives of the US, UK, West Germany, Japan, France and the EEC is coordinating the economic and political policies of the Trilateral countries [which would include the US]?
COOPER: Yes, they have met three times.
NOVAK: Yet, in your recent paper you state that this committee should remain informal because to formalize ‘this function might well prove offensive to some of the Trilateral and other countries which do not take part.’ Who are you afraid of?
KAISER: Many countries in Europe would resent the dominant role that West Germany plays at these [Trilateral] meetings.
COOPER: Many people still live in a world of separate nations [!], and they would resent such coordination [of policy].
NOVAK: But this [Trilateral] committee is essential to your whole policy. How can you keep it a secret or fail to try to get popular support [for its decisions on how Trilateral member nations will conduct their economic and political policies]?
COOPER: Well, I guess it’s the press’ job to publicize it.
NOVAK: Yes, but why doesn’t President Carter come out with it and tell the American people that [US] economic and political power is being coordinated by a [Trilateral] committee made up of Henry Owen and six others? After all, if [US] policy is being made on a multinational level, the people should know.
COOPER: President Carter and Secretary of State Vance have constantly alluded to this in their speeches.
KAISER: It just hasn’t become an issue.
