Well, the future is here and that “zoom-and-enhance” feature is available on just about every smartphone. Phone cameras have become so powerful that throwing up a peace sign could give away your identity for thieves. Professor at the Digital Content and Media Sciences Research Division of the National Institute of Informatics Isao Echizen successfully obtained fingerprints from photos taken from up to three meters away. Echizen warned against the popular peace sign since it’s a trend in Japan.
