The #1 Paranormal News Site
I was a young teenager hanging out with two friends in my neighborhood. We recently entered a lightly forested tree line, behind a couple tennis courts, and had a "UFO" experience.
I'll attempt to describe my experience with the flying object.
First, the noise was noticeable. The sound was loud, but didn't sound like an engine. The noise was more constant (unchanging in tone) and had more of a 'humming' noise in comparison to planes. The sound from the object took over all other sounds. We didn't try to speak while the object flew over us, because I think it was self evident we couldn't hear shit anymore. We were in the woods so you hear some noise making arthropods and your feet crushing sticks, but when the object flew over us all we heard was a constant, drawn out tone that sucked up all the 'sound' around us.
This was fairly late at night, after midnight, probably most nearly 2AM. I know my orientation, and can say the plane was traveling either north or south (I know the flight path, but struggle remembering the actual direction of travel). Immediately north would be a good-sized river, south would be the Atlantic. I lived near a few airports for military and civilians; the object wasn't traveling towards any of the main airports regardless of travel direction. Only if it was going South, would there be a small airstrip in a private neighborhood (a short distance, and a straight shot), but if I recall correctly, there wouldn't be enough land area to work. The object was significantly low to the ground, so i've figured it was going up/down, or attempting to be incognito.
The object appeared to be very large in comparison to normal planes, and looked to take up a huge portion of the sky. When looking straight up the object was low but looked bigger than an entire soccer field. It was illuminated with lights whitish to yellow, and creeped speed in comparison to planes. The way jets crawl along the sky, or helicopters sometimes move slowly, is what it looked like.
It was low in elevation, greatly bigger in surface area, and significantly slower in speed than planes in the area.
Granted, my memory on the event could be faulty, or I could have been uninformed of a manmade object, I wanted to put in words my only UFO experience. When I began typing the first portion of this post both of my ears experienced a sharp tone similar to mild tinnitus symptoms, so that could mean something, eh.
