The #1 Paranormal News Site
There is no doubt that Facebook can be useful for keeping up to date with family and friend, sending them quick messages and photos. However, there is also a dark side, if you allow just anyone to access your profile without being a friend; people may be able to look at information on the page. It is possible for someone to be stalked, but here are some ways of finding out if this applies.
There is a big difference in someone just being nosey and looking at a profile to find out what a person has been doing and stalking that person. A new feature to Facebook, Stories, will help anyone who is worried that someone might be stalking them or taking too keen of an interest in the Facebook page.
Both Snapchat and Instagram have stories and anyone using either of these programs will be well aware of what we are about to say. However, in the event of not using them and not having heard of them, in short, they allow a person to find out how many people have seen the images or videos and who has been taking an interest. This means that stalkers are caught out.
With Facebook people can now tell whether their ex has been checking up on them, or their parents for that matter. Thanks to the new Stories feature users can share updates that are part of a story, but that story will only last for a period of 24 hours and then it disappears forever. This is unlike the normal status that a person puts on their Facebook page, which stays there forever and which may be open to anyone reading if you haven’t protected your page only for friends to view. Along with this, there is a list of everyone who has checked out the story and the total people who looked at it.
So anyone who was considering doing anything dodgy might want to think again.
