The MIT, which is known as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has developed AI that is supposedly able to see two seconds in the future. Now we gather from all of the sci-fi television that we watch that time travel and the ability to see the future is impossible!
But what if the algorithms that we program today can effectively predict what will happen before it does occur? Well, this could mean advances in traffic collisions, safety and could even find uses within the medical sectors of an economy.
While it is not directly affecting the future the also can produce a one-and-a-half second video clip depicting an alternative future which is remarkable. For example, when two people meet on a date we can from historical data predict what will most likely happen. Usually, it starts with a hello, handshake, hug then a kiss. This kiss can be diverted from this future as it is dependent on whether the hello or handshake (introduction) occurs. If those do not occur then the kiss may never happen in that future, However, what we do know is that machines can sometimes run into issues when they are faced with complex issues without the correct level of processing powers. We, therefore, can draw a conclusion that progress has been made with the software and machinery that could be used by humans such as Google Glass headsets that can allow people to see different futures in the world they live in.
Despite the fact that this was supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation, along with a Google faculty research award for Torralba work is still needed to bring more than two seconds of future predicting powers.
