I've seen 3 ufo's in my time now, so I'm pretty on board the ufo/alien train. I don't really have a choice. Have any of you who have seen something notice that when trying to tell your story to anyone who hasn't seen something, they'll roll their eyes, 100%? In contrast however, others who have seen something will be quick to listen and take in your account of what happened etc. I can understand why people are skeptical, I was and still am, but is it even worth it to try and discuss your sightings with people at all? It makes me feel completely silly trying to tell my stories in a manner which comes off as not-crazy.
Anyway, my sightings. These all took place in a small town of about 3000 people:
Over a decade ago me and my two little brothers were at home alone (parents at work) on a Friday off from school. Around 9 am we were all making breakfast, and my youngest brother went and sat by the window while he ate. Suddenly we hear him say "what is THAT?". We run over and see this pure silver metallic sphere, roughly 6 feet in diameter, it looked huge. It moved in a perfect straight line and made no noise (window was open). It moved very slowly at about two lightpoles length off the ground. And we saw it up close, it was right over our front yard. We watched it move slowly north of us for almost 3 minutes, and then it stopped. We all watched it for about 10 seconds, then it shot up into the sky at a ridiculous speed. We watched it go into the sky, and it faded out of sight due to distsnce in about 4 seconds. We were all spooked and couldn't explain what we saw. We told our parents but they just told us it was a kite. We didn't buy it lol
This happened 7 years later. One night at around 2:30 am, I went outside for a smoke. It was winter time so I didnt plan to be out long. I was just looking at the stars to kill time, and noticed one due west that was moving. It was bright purple, so it caught my attention pretty quick. I watched it for about 30 seconds, falling downwards in a lazy arch. I thought it was a shooting star or something. Suddenly it just stops, hovers for a few seconds, and then (like the first) shoots straight up into the sky so fast it made me throw my head back hard while I followed it with my eyes. I watched it fly up and up until it was too far to see. Needless to say my heart was racing and I was feeling really scared, so I ran back inside.
This one happened two years after that. I went to a gas station at 3 in the morning for some bottles of water. On my way back to my house, I thought id drive the long way back and finish the song I was listening to (Orion, by Metallica. LONG song). As I drove along by the hospital in town, I noticed a light that shon just like a street light, but was above the center of the street. I stopped my car in the street and rolled the window down to get a better look at it, and noticed there was no sound being made. Just my car idling. I thought it was a drone for sure, but started to get that freaky feeling of seeing something that might be looking back at you too, or whatever. It started moving slowly over a thick copse of trees, so I followed it on the closest road I could. To my luck, it appeared again over the thicket and was moving towards a residence. I followed and pulled over, with my passenger window down to get a clearer look. It hovered over a backyard, and then descended. At that point I was like "you idiot, it's a drone.." but as it descended, the light on it started acting bizarrely. It started going out of focus in my vision, and then got really bright and went white, instead of the dull yellow. I could see the outline of the object at this point, and it looked like it slowly disintegrated as it went down. The light at this point dimmed and went out completely, and the street lights cast no silhouette of the object. Like it just vanished. I waited for about 3 minutes, as I was right by the house. I wanted to listen for a door, a light turned on, something that indicated that someone went outside to retrieve their drone they just landed. Nothing. I drove off and raced home after a weird feeling like I was in danger.
So that's it, I've had a fair amount of sightings. I just hate that I've seen this stuff with my own eyes so I can interpret it and believe what I saw, but there's no way I can show/tell anyone else what I saw without coming off like a crazy schizoid. Anyone know what I saw? And does anyone else have the feeling of isolation with their sightings as well?
