First let me give you some backstory so you understand the seriousness of what I'm about to say. My father and my uncle grew up Outdoorsman in Oregon, they would ride stingray bikes down logging trails before anybody was really mountain biking. Always hunting and fishing. My dad went to school to be a mathematician but later became an electrician, so everything is very logical and black and white. "Everything can be explained through process" Alright fast forward to the late nineties, my folks decided to buy 12 acres of land and a double-wide house out in the woods of North Central Idaho Panhandle not far from where I grew up. I was really young but I'll try to remember as best I can. My father was coming home from work as an electrician and there was snow on the ground but he had studs and his hubs were locked on on his 97 Tacoma so it's really sure-footed. So from our point of view (my two older brothers and I) we could see a light going back and forth in the sky and read naturally thought it was a logging helicopter doing some stupid whatever, when my dad's headlights came around the corner the light zeroed in on his truck. And this ball of ever changing color stayed right above his truck going in and out of draws and over small hills until he got to the bottom of our driveway, quarter mile away from our house. I heard him talking about it to my uncle on the phone India most passed out because my brother never freaking out because he saw something above his truck. He said he saw a flash of light and other just his headlights on a snowy field. Until all of a sudden all around his truck there were circles of changing light moving in a circle. So he did what he knew best, kicked it in 4hi and pushed 50 on this back road, and it kept pace! Left, right, up and down. When he reached the bottom of our driveway it shot straight up and out of sight. That's the only time I've seen my dad load his 45-70 when he wasn't hunting. To this day we rarely talk about it.
