Back in the early 2000s I was delivering pizza on a lovely Sunday afternoon. Not a cloud in the sky. It had recently snowed so despite sunglasses it was bright.

Heading through a bit of farmland I noticed a large metallic orb stationary in the sky, and it was relatively big. It looked like a ball bearing just hovering there. Weird I thought but whatever, weather balloon or something. About a minute or so later I made a turn and lost sight of it, and that whole time it never moved (from what I could tell).

I would periodically turn my head to see if I could see it through the trees but couldn't. Probably 5 minutes passes and I get back to the area where I originally saw it and no surprise it was gone.

Here's what made the experience stand out. I counted 5 jet contrails all converging on that area, coming in from all different directions. Short ones, like a recent decent from altitude. I don't think those were passengers planes.
