Why modern translations are HORSESHIT

What was clear to me from early on in my own analysis of the writings of Nostradamus is that his TRUE PROPHECIES if understood in the meaning of the words when he wrote them were actually quite funny. This can be seen in the first quatrain after he pays homage to his ‘occult ritual’ in the first two Quatrains which he describes an ancient water ritual for divination.

The third quatrain is actually the first prophecy once he gets past his water ritual description and this first quatrain shows a brutally frank Nostradamus speaking in terms that the everyday person in France could understand. No one but me has ever translated this verse so honestly. The key is looking up the term in the first line in Cotgrave’s early 17th Century dictionary and you will see HORSE LITTER as the definition of the key word lictiere which is literally HORSESHIT.

So while more politically correct French dictionaries may use litter now to describe licteire, the Medieval meaning was HORSE LITTER or HORSESHIT, this is why Nostradamus was so accepted by the everyday people of France, he was a brutally honest person in his prophecies that spoke their vulgar of that time.

Cotgrave 1611 definition says HORSE LITTER or HORSESHIT

Now compare my literal translation that understands the meanings of the words from his time period thanks to Cotgrave’s Dictionary to a sanitized mistranslation that most now accept as accurate.

 My Translation
When the horseshit flies like a whirlwind,
And will cover their faces and coats,
The republic of new people upset,
At this time the reds and the whites swear upside down.

Modern Translation
When the litters are overturned by the whirlwind
and faces are covered by cloaks,
the new republic will be troubled by its people.
At this time the reds and the whites will rule wrongly.

Let me describe how Nostradamus would call the work of contemporary translators of his words. I can sum up their work in one word.

LICTIERE

Horse Litter or HORSESHIT.

I can assure you that the verses that are in this book that contain my name on them contain no Lictiere or NO HORSESHIT.
