I live in Utah, and what brought me to this sub is that lately my friend has been going out to the west desert at 2am-4am. He's been having some pretty intense experiences out by dugway. I have some pictures, but he's really not for me posting them right now. I'm working on it though.

Anyways, one of the experiences I personally had was about 7-8 years ago up in the Unitah Mountains, with the same friend I just mentioned and others as well. The lake we camped at is called Dean's Lake. We had a pretty normal night up there till about 2am. I awoke to a really bright light, almost like a spotlight, coming through the tops of the trees right above our campsite. It was absolutely silent. No engine sounds, no helicopter blades, nothing. Dead quiet. The silence had to of only lasted about 5-10 seconds, when all of a sudden whatever was up in the sky above our campsite started making a noise. And it was your classic, energy pulse sound you'd almost expect from a ufo. WOMP. 2 seconds go by. Another WOMP. 1 second goes by. WOMP. And it gets faster and faster and faster and faster. WOMP WOMP WOMP WOMP WOMP. And then it was gone. Light disappeared, no noise, nothing.

That morning, I can't remember who, but one of us asked if we had heard that noise. All of us, except one individual, had heard it. I was the only one who was woken up by the light though.

So ya. I feel like that experience is one of the more "less typical" ones you hear about, and I feel pretty special to have experienced it. I'll see if I can convince my buddy to let me post the pictures he sent me from his night out by dugway 🙂
