A Plymouth dad got a supernatural surprise after taking a selfie and spotting what he believes may have been a UFO in the sky.
Jon Cunniff, aged 37, was walking near Redhill Close in Ernesettle with a friend when he stopped to take two pictures on his phone.
When he looked back at the snaps he spotted what appeared to be a bright ball of light.
“If you look at the second photo it looks like it has got an energy field around it, like it’s interacting with the clouds,” he said.
“I don’t know if it was just a trick of the light or whether I trapped something in the reflection of the phone.
“But I don’t think it was that because there are two photos and on the second one it looks like it moved.”

Mr Cunniff, a full-time single dad with a two-year-old son, said he once saw a similar object in the sky when he was a schoolboy.
“I was young and in my head it looked like the TIE Fighters from Star Wars,” he said.
“I definitely saw something that day, but as I have grown older I realised that maybe my brain related it to Star Wars.”
Mr Cunniff posted his latest pictures to a supernatural conspiracy website, where he says other users agreed with his theory.
“It sounds like pseudoscience, but people are saying it’s like there’s something in orbit around our planet,” he said.
“It seems a bit wacky but maybe it’s a fake moon or something.”

In the Ernesettle News Facebook group, several residents shared their own UFO stories.
Lisa Thomas wrote: “I took photos of a rainbow over Ernesettle once.
“The same dot was not in the first picture but appeared in the second. I always thought it could be a UFO.”
Stephen Barnes said: “Perhaps it’s aliens that are mysteriously nicking our bins and parks and not the council after all.”
Mr Cunniff added: “If we go far enough into the cosmos, into the infinite universe, apparently we will meet ourselves.
“So actually it could be Ernesettle aliens from another Ernesettle coming to us.
“If infinity is true it will happen.”
