Have you ever thought about what it would be like to have tequila fall from the sky? Maybe you have thought what it would be like to literally drink from a cloud without standing out in the rain. A new exhibit in a museum in Germany has now fulfilled these thoughts that have run through everyone’s head at one time or another. With new scientific findings and creations, your imagination may not be far away from coming true of being able to drink from the sky, and it is real alcohol at that.
At the Urban Spree Art Gallery located in Berlin, Germany, the company LAPIZ has created a tequila cloud for the Mexico Tourism Board as a part of advertisement to draw people to the gallery. They have come up with a solution to the not so pleasant weather that occurs in Germany every March, and this solution is to try to draw people to Mexico, where they could have tequila in the sun rather than having to deal with the rain and clouds of Germany.
The tequila cloud is very unique and works by using special humidifiers that vibrate tequila at a high frequency that turns the drink into a cloud looking fog. Simple science takes over from there as the mist is then able to be condensed, just as rainwater falls from a cloud and the result is a cloud that rains tequila. The gallery, to entice visitors, even more, has allowed the visitors to drink their fair share of tequila to try out the amazement of the cloud. The way that people typically think of creating fog, which is with heat vaporization would not work in this case as it would boil the alcohol.
Thinking about a trip to Germany or already live there? Check out this cloud and come and get some free tequila before you head over to Mexico for your next Vacation!
