Snowden: US Government is not going to be able to cover this up

“All I can say right now is the US Government is not going to be able to cover this up by jailing or murdering me. Truth is coming, and it cannot be stopped.” – Edward Snowden

The Coverup is a tool used by governments in order to control information. However, the U.S. Government along with other powerful entities have to contend with people like Mr. Snowden. According to Eric Snowden, “the truth is coming and it cannot be stopped.” This particular statement is more powerful now due to the tools available now in this age of information, which includes WikiLeaks.

Please consider the words and when they were spoken. Mr. Snowden had already been on the run with the information obtained by his former employer. This means that more information will come out. It is obvious that a network of people is required to spread of information.

In this era of the internet, it is not hard to see how government can fully contain information. Records, trade secrets, a list of operatives can easily be transferred to a flash drive and transported in your backpack without much fuss. Indeed, some brave souls are out there willing to bring dark secrets to the light of day. Edward Snowden is one of the most recent examples of this ever evolving trend of information sharing.

Take a look at what the former UK ambassador, Craig Murray, had to say about the CIA’s statement regarding the source of the Wikileaks data via the website, Zerohedge,

“I know who leaked them. I’ve met the person who leaked them, and they are certainly not Russian and it’s an insider. It’s a leak, not a hack; the two are different things.”

The likely conclusion is that a person who works inside the government leaked the information. This was not the work of a hacker. This is an important distinction since it may change the motivating factor of the WikiLeaks discoveries.

Another clue comes from Tulsi Gabbard, U.S. Representative from Hawaii, who introduced a bill, the Stop Arming Terrorists Act, in December 2016 –

Rep. Gabbard stated, “Right now, under current U.S. Law, it wouldn’t surprise people to know that it is illegal for any American to provide any support, whether it’s money, weapons or other assistance, to al-Qaida or ISIS or other terrorist groups. Yet the U.S. Government has been violating this law for years by quietly supporting allies, partners, individuals and groups who are working directly with al-Qaida, ISIS, Jabhat Fateh al-Sham and other terrorist groups by providing them with money, weapons and intelligence support in their fight to overthrow the Syrian government.”

She was rather clear that the U.S. Government was supplying weapons to allies who work with Al-Qaida or ISIS. She is asking for this craziness to stop in prder to prevent additional suffering from occurring. Again, this is just the tip of another iceberg of secrets that the U.S. Government has in regards to operations in other countries.

Mr. Vladimir Putin stated to the G20 members of the involvement of persons from 40 countries, which includes some G20 members, in the financing of ISIS.

Since Russia is closer to the Middle East than the United States, then it stands to reason that the Russians needs to keep an eye on events in the Midde East. Especially since Russia revealed that satellite imagery shows convoys of trucks delivering illegal oil for sale. Russia is highly dependent on petroleum sales for its economy to function, then it is np wonder why these developments concern Mr. Putin.

Recently, Mr. Assange was interviewed by Sean Hannity and had a lot to say. He stated that Russia did not provide information about the Clinton emails to him. Yet, they stated that more is to come.

What new information will come out in 2017? How will it effect relationships between various countries? How will this change our views on the war on terror? Whatever may come will impact our lives, especially those in our military and intelligence communities.

Forewarned is forearmed. Let’s keep an open mind, an open heart, and open eyes and ears to what will come.
