The #1 Paranormal News Site
I have been researching UFO's seriously for about 7 years and I have to admit that I am relatively surprised that I hadn't heard of this case or at least if I have I don't remember it which would be bizarre given it's magnitude.
On a unusually warm December evening in Trumble County, Ohio, dispatcher Roy Anne Rudolph receives a call from a man about strange lights in the night sky. Within minutes the dispatch center is inundated with calls from the residents of Liberty Township with similar descriptions of an unidentifiable object, quietly hovering in the air in silence and with pulsating bluish and red incandescent lights.
Realizing that there were now too many eyewitness accounts to categorize this as a hoax, Roy Anne dispatches Liberty Township Police Officer Toby Molero. In interviews about the incident, Roy Anne makes a point to mention she specifically alerted Molero because of his reputation of being a straight shooter and logical nature. Molero thinking this to be just a case of misidentification, proceeds to the scene of the incident and upon arrival is immediately approached by a man who is hyperventilating and obviously shaken up by what he has seen. The resident provides a similar description of the unidentified object and Molero proceeds en route, starting to see the bright bluish lights described in the report shining above the tree line. As Officer Molero gets closer, the lights become more intense and as he slowly begins to get closer to the object, his patrol cars mechanical and electronic devices all shut off completely sending his patrol car to a complete stop. When Officer Molero exits the car he witnesses a craft in which he describes as "Being the size of a football field" glowing "As bright as the sun".
Meanwhile back at the Liberty Township Dispatch Center, Roy Anne Rudolph and the other dispatchers are being completely slammed by calls from residents with reports of the unidentifiable craft lighting up the night sky as well as a local news reporter looking for any statement on the strange lights above Trumble County. Rudolph, unable to reach Officer Molero now realizes that this truly out of the ordinary. In an attempt get some answers as to what this could be, she calls the local Air Traffic Control Center and asks if there are any scheduled flights for the area to which the Air Traffic Controlled says there is not.
Meanwhile Molero is spellbounded, standing next to his disabled police cruiser and observing the craft slowly drift away from him in the warm December sky. Once the craft gets past a certain point all of the electronic and mechanical devices suddenly turn on and he is finally able to respond to Roy Anne back at the dispatch center. Fearing that his sighting could open himself up to ridicule, Officer Molero decides to call Roy Anne via his cell phone to describe what he saw. He told her that he indeed in fact saw a "UFO" and he needed a few minutes to "Gather his thoughts" after viewing the strange anomaly.
As the night went on, the object drifted through the proceeding townships and continued to be witnessed by the astonished residents and local law enforcement agencies. Officer Molero, along with other Liberty Township Police as well as officers from the ensuing townships all proceeded to follow the craft en route through its journey. Roy Anne Rudolph, who by now realized that something very strange and bizarre was happening asks Officer Molero for his location. Her curiosity gets the best of her and she leaves the dispatch center to go meet up with Officer Molero and the other members of law enforcement who had been following the craft. When she reaches Molero, him along with all of the officers are parked and watching the large craft hovering low enough to still display it's very large size. Roy Anne is able to witness the craft and sees that it matches the description of Officer Molero and the many residents of Ohio who made reports to their local town dispatchers. The craft then without warning flies off at an incredible velocity into the December night sky.
I for one feel that this case is another landmark one for the subject of Ufology. The amount of witnesses, coupled with the credibility of the law enforcement officers who were dispatched to investigate the phenomena makes this case one of the most remarkable and reliable instances in the history of Unidentified Flying Objects. I provided a link below to a documentary about the Trumble County UFO case. There was also a more recent report done by the SyFy channel show "Paranormal Witness" that documents the amazing sighting that transpired in the skies over Ohio. Let me know what you think about this case in the comments and if you have any additional information on this case please feel free to mention that as well. The /r/UFO sub-Reddit gets a lot of flack but I for one feel that there are a lot of us who are desperately seeking the truth without accepting every video, witness account or case that is posted
