You don’t build up over 5k troops to just “be there” when it’s not a training drill. It’s a little bit more in depth than just pulling a smoke and mirror show.

This reminds me so much of what happened right before the announcement was made back in March 2003 that we were going to war. The exact same kind of build up. Most people blew it off as silly that previous fall (Sept./Oct. 2002) but it was all staging for what was to come. Just like now.
