Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and AnimaNaturalis groups took part in Wednesday’s protests against Pamplona’s bloody bull-running festival.

The activists painted their bodies in red color and demanding a festival ‘without blood.’

Over 100 protesters also held signs in multiple languages which read, ‘bulls die a bloody death in Pamplona.’

The animal rights activists want to bring an end to the popular festivity known as ‘San Fermin’

During this bull-running festival, revelers try to outrun the bulls released on the city’s streets of Pamplona.

So far, 16 have been killed in the bull-runs since they have started back in 1911.
