THE United Filipino Organization donated a total of $1,000 on Friday to the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter and Karidat Social Services.

Former UFO president Bong Malasarte said it is their mission to provide assistance to those who help community members.

“It does not matter how much we donate — what matters are simple acts of kindness to everyone,” he said.

UFO’s $500 donation was received by American Red Cross-NMI chapter executive director John Hirsh while the $500 for Karidat was received by its executive director Laura Ogumoro.

Hirsh and Ogumoro said they were thankful for the continued support of the UFO which is a regular donor.

UFO public information officer Carlito Marquez said the $1,000 came from their various fundraising activities and events.
