I was hiking in river legacy park in arlington on saturday, january 7th. i like to take pictures of interesting cloud formations, especially at sunset. i did not see anything with the naked eye; i didn’t notice the object until i got home and examined the pictures. you can see a small, round, white object to the left of the sun. if you zoom in on it, you can see what appears to be lights distributed across the surface. it was not the moon; the moon was clearly located over my left shoulder as i took the pictures. i don’t think it’s a reflection, as it appeared the same from two different locations in the park. it is not dust on my lens, as all my other pictures are clear. i went back the next afternoon at approximately the same time and took pictures of the same area of the sky. again, it was not visible to the naked eye, but the same object can be seen in the pictures.
