Filled out at mufon headquarters, with witness on the phone, by l. flechtner 18809, on january 18th, 2017 —————————————————————————- my wife and i were going to dinner at the indian casino during the week and while traveling north on hwy 80 near 5th street my wife saw what she at first thought were fireworks. when we looked closer they appeared to be several sparkling electrical bursts. within the burst we could see a silver shimmer and a hugh black craft materialized. it had volkswagen size lights on the side of it. one was green and one was blue. three pickup sized bursts of red translucent light/flames shot out of it, one at a time. dark pillow like clouds seemed to be surrounding it, the clouds were low to the ground and seemed to surround the black, disc shaped, two story high craft. the craft made no noise and was about two hundred feet off the ground. we were about a mile from it. the area has no homes where it was hovering, just a wilderness area. we were traveling about 55 mph and traveling towards it. we slowed down when we saw it to get a better view, but had to speed up when a car came up behind us. we turned towards a clear cut area to get a better look, the the clouds and the craft were gone. we saw just darkness. the whole thing lasted about 45 seconds. we saw a white vehicle that said homeland security on it go by, kind of strange. when we got to the casino for dinner several other people said they had seen two other homeland security vehicles in the area as well. there is a military air base close by and the next day jets were doing scrambling maneuvers all over the area. fort mccoy and fort douglas are near by.
