While driving home from work i witnessed a massive deep red to gentle orange fireball like object. this was floating/ hovering over a popular venue. however, there was no event scheduled for the night, nor any for a week prior, or for over a week into the future. thinking it was the moon i searched for it in the sky, and saw it behind me. due to the objects size, color and position the moon was immediately discounted as a cause. it was far larger than any known aircraft, and thee is no possibility it was a planet, as the sky was cloudy, and covered in city haze (even normally seen stars and iss not visible). also in the vicinity is a major casino with lights that are often reported as ufo’s, but they look nothing like what i saw, along with being a few miles to the west of where this object was. slowly as i approached my home the object seemed to fade away. unfortunately due to the cloud cover i could not tell if it disappeared from view because of the clouds, or action caused by the object itself.
