The kitchen at Adventure Brewing South became the Ultimate Food Operation this month.
That is, the UFO Truck (which stands for Ultimate Food Operation) is operating the brewery’s kitchen in the Bowman Center in Spotsylvania County. The partnership between the businesses has UFO Truck owner Jonathan “JP” Painter bringing his eatery indoors and running the same hours as Adventure Brewing.
“A location like this means people can come here and not have to chase us down around the region,” Painter said.
Painter opened the truck in October 2014 after nearly 15 years in the restaurant business. Ever since, he has offered food at Adventure Brewing North, as well as other breweries, wineries and festivals.
The truck will keep rolling around the area.
UFO will offer its signature sliders and tacos at Adventure Brewing, along with wings, nachos and some favorites that were too difficult for the smaller mobile kitchen.
The kitchen at Adventure Brewing there was originally set up as the Lee’s Retreat Brewpub before Adventure purchased it from Blue & Gray Brewing in early 2016.
“We’re excited to have them as a partner,” said Adventure co-owner Tim Bornholtz. “We can focus on the beer and they can focus on the food, both of our specialties.”
