Imagine a small jet aircraft, like a Learjet 45, is flying over the I-6 on a chartered flight inbound to LAS. The flight plan says to go around the restricted airspace, towards cedar city and then to turn south to the airport. There are passengers and children aboard the aircraft. Suddenly, there is an engine failure, and fuel begins to leak. The captain radios Groom Lake Air Force Base and requests to make an emergency landing. There is no way he could make it to any other airport. Would he be allowed to land, or would they force him to make a crash landing?
