I believed in UFOs even before my 14-year-old daughter Robin and I saw one in the late 1970’s.
While all eyes were searching the skies for Skylab’s re-entry into the earth’s atmosphere in 1979, Robin and I saw a UFO just 54 feet from the bedroom window of our split-level in Huntington, CT.
In the evening after our family had gone to bed, Robin began yelling from her bedroom, “UFO! UFO! Coming across the street. I can see it in the street light! Quick Mom, go to the window.”
I jumped out of bed. What I saw left me in awe and speechless.
A real UFO appeared near the tree tops, about five or six feet high by the same width. It moved steadily and soundlessly from my left to my right. It was shaped like a black top-hat with tall dome-shaped windows around the brim, a bright light shining from one of the windows. Then whoosh! It was gone.
I didn’t notify the police. Who would believe us?
